Today is Embrace Your Geekness Day (love it!)
Being a geek doesn’t mean you are highly intelligent or a digital whiz, it means you are happily engrossed in your hobby or pursuits and this is most certainly the case for me. For as long as I can remember, my passions have lied in creativity and bringing ideas to life.
The only limit is creativity and imagination, I forever have ideas flowing through me and will probably run out of time before I complete my life as an artist! I’ve had some fantastic opportunities so far and I only hope that they keep on expanding as I continue to do what I love.
I’m very fortunate enough to do what I enjoy for a living and since becoming an employer I have realised the importance of hiring people who are driven and have these interests and dedications. Having a geeky nature makes for the best employees!
Whether it’s gaming, dancing, juggling, programming or baking; you should never be ashamed to be excited over something. Always embrace your geekness.
